The time had come to sell the family home in 2009, not the best time to sell but it became the greatest time to sell.
The thought of estate agents involved in selling my property was not one of joy. I was not looking forward to it. Then I met Liana Loporto and Brian Patterson from The London Residential team in Parkway Camden. A breath of fresh air....
Communication flowed at all times and there was a sensitivity around the fact that I was selling not just a house but my home. They were wonderful. London Residential were on my side, and i felt like they were working for me and with me.
Eventually we had a very successful sell within 4 months. It was time for me to buy a new home, and I had to deal with a different estate agent for this. That is when I was reminded of why estate agents get such bad press. I had been spoilt, I had experienced professionalism and excellence only to then be surrounded by the opposite. It was a bit of a shock and I missed London Residential.
If only all estate agents were like London Residential in Parkway, Camden...

You certainly made it the sometimes awful business of buying a flat as painless as possible. I remember when I first came into your office you understood quite quickly the kind of thing I was looking for, and then ready to take me to see it immediately. When we arrived at the flat you pointed out a few critical aspects without trying to snow me under a drift of sales pitch. This was perhaps part of the reason I was able to make up my mind so quickly to make an offer. We stood on the terrace identifying landmarks looking north over London. You answered my questions when you could and were honest about what you didn’t know, and would have to find out. I suppose what I'm saying is I trusted you. I felt you negotiated the price with the vendor fairly and effectively. Later there was some trouble with the vendor being abroad and rather dozy about producing all the documentation, and I became anxious about his intentions, and you were good at reassuring me, by phoning him and his solicitors, that the sale would go through. I was also very touched that when I moved in you sent me a handwritten note of welcome and good wishes for the future. I remember you told me you'd had other very different kinds of experience abroad before working for London Residential and this gave you a different perspective on what you were doing. I think this probably made a difference for me as a client.
Occasionally I went into the office and you were out but I always found the atmosphere friendly.

Looking at my diary I note that from walking into your office through to completion took less than one month - in fact closer to 3 weeks.
During that time you assessed my needs, showed me a selection of properties and met my extremely tight timescales once we ‘pushed the buttons’ to go.
This was accomplished with a single viewing of the property we chose to buy and with communication between us by phone and email.
I would have no deliberations in recommending you to others and if I ever need another London property I have your number.
